The specialist is too far away?
Then we will pick you up.

SuPDrive picks patients up at home in self-driving vehicles. Registration, clarifying what the patient needs – and often the prescription itself – are done during the ride. When needed, we bring the doctor in by video. The way to medicine becomes part of care.

Concept in preparation – subject to technical and regulatory approval.

People.Medicine.Together.Future, not standstill.
At the centre: the patient

The practice starts at the front door.

No hunting for parking, no waiting room, no paperwork. Every minute of the ride is care time – and when you arrive, your team is already prepared.

Pick-up at home

The vehicle arrives at your door at the booked time – in the city and in the countryside. A SuPDrive companion on request.

Registration in the car

Insert your health insurance card – the card terminal in the vehicle reads it. Medical history, medication and concerns go straight into the practice system.

Doctor by video

If a medical assessment is needed, the doctor joins by video consultation – with ECG and vital signs available live.

The right place

If everything is settled, the ride goes back home. Otherwise SuPDrive drives straight to the right practice, diagnostic unit or hospital – just in time.

Often “just” a prescription is needed. Then the appointment is done in the car: insert the card, clarify the concern, doctor's approval by video – the e-prescription is on the health card before you are back home. On request, SuPDrive drives straight to the pharmacy.

Who we are

Doctors who organise care every day.

SuPDrive comes from Dr. Sandrock & Partner, a network of cardiology practices across Germany. The technology is developed by benisa. We know from daily practice where patients get lost on the way – and where time for medicine is missing.

“Every day I see that the hardest part of treatment often begins before the practice door: getting there. With SuPDrive we make that journey the first part of care – so that nobody sees a doctor too late just because they cannot drive themselves.”

The consulting room on wheels

Equipped like a reception desk. Connected like a practice.

Every SuPDrive vehicle is a full entry point to our care – securely connected to the practice system. The technology behind it – integration, data flow and AI – is developed by benisa.

  • Health card reader – insurance status, registration and e-prescription right in the vehicle.
  • Connected to the practice system – appointments, findings and previous reports are where the patient is.
  • Video consultation – the doctor joins within seconds when needed.
  • ECG and vital signs (optional) – transmitted before the patient arrives.
  • Book the next appointment right away – on the way home.

You arrive. We are ready.

Guiding patients instead of keeping them waiting.

Because we know when you arrive and what you need, the lottery of the waiting room becomes planned care.

  • Just in time – the arrival is known to the minute.
  • A prepared team – all information is available before the door opens.
  • Smart use of locations – to wherever capacity is available, not wherever the next slot happens to be.
  • Fewer no-shows – no missed appointments due to lack of mobility.

To health policy makers

A gatekeeping system? An answer from 1990.

The German federal government wants to make the GP practice the mandatory first point of contact. The goal is right: fewer detours, faster access, better navigation. The route is not. An additional mandatory visit is not navigation – it is one more appointment, one more trip, one more waiting room.

GP gatekeeping planned

  • First the GP, then a referral, then the specialist – two trips, two waiting rooms.
  • Navigation at a desk, based on files and free slots.
  • GP practices are already scarce – especially in rural areas.
  • Mobility remains a private matter: those who cannot drive are worse off.
  • A repeat prescription still means a trip to the practice.

SuPDrive reinvented

  • Navigation starts at the front door – in the vehicle, with health card, data and doctor by video.
  • The patient goes straight to the right place: home, specialist, diagnostics or hospital.
  • Capacity is used across locations instead of overloading individual practices.
  • Mobility becomes part of care – equal access for city and countryside.
  • Prescriptions and simple requests are handled during the ride.

Whoever truly wants to guide patients has to start where they are – at home. We invite policy makers and health insurers to take a look.

The vehicle

Why the Cybercab – and why now.

Robotaxis so far are converted cars: steering wheel, pedals and driver's seat stay on board because the car was designed for a human at the wheel. The Tesla Cybercab is built exclusively for autonomous driving from the ground up – and designed for high volumes at low cost. Only this makes it possible to truly rethink autonomy.

No steering wheel, no pedals

The cabin belongs to the patient, not the driver. Room for a screen, card terminal and conversation.

Large butterfly doors

Easy entry and exit without bending down – exactly what elderly and sick people need.

Two seats – one patient

Built for the ride we offer: patient plus companion. Private, quiet, confidential.

Inductive charging

Nobody has to plug in: the fleet charges itself and is ready around the clock.

Cost per kilometre

A vehicle designed for low operating costs makes pick-up affordable as a standard service – not a luxury.

100 % electric, built for fleets

Quiet, zero-emission, software-controlled – and dispatched centrally as a fleet, like an appointment calendar.

Disruption, not conversion.

A converted taxi is still a taxi. A vehicle without a driver's seat becomes a space for care. In our view, the Cybercab is currently the only vehicle that fully meets these requirements – which is why we are planning SuPDrive around it.

Status today: The Cybercab is built in the USA and is being trialled there in ride service. Germany requires approval by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) or an EU type approval – since 1 July 2026 the Road Traffic Act recognises both. The current status is shown in the next section.

Vehicle details based on the manufacturer's publications as of October 2026; subject to change until approval. Tesla and Cybercab are trademarks of Tesla, Inc.

Approval status in Germany

Where does autonomous driving stand?

SuPDrive launches as soon as driverless vehicles may carry passengers in regular service. Here you can see how far each level of automation has been approved in Germany.

      Frequently asked questions

      Good to know.

What does the ride cost patients?

For patients of our practices the ride is free of charge. The practice pays – because a patient who arrives prepared and on time saves everyone time.

And if it is my first visit?

Funding for first visits is still being worked out. We will publish the arrangement here before launch.

      Is SuPDrive an emergency service?

No. In a life-threatening emergency always call 112. Urgent cases should also reach the right practice quickly with SuPDrive – how these rides are paid for will be settled before launch.

Do I need to bring my health insurance card?

Yes. The card terminal in the vehicle reads it – so registration and, if needed, the e-prescription are done right away.

      When does SuPDrive launch?

As soon as driverless vehicles may carry passengers in regular service in Germany and the vehicle is approved. Our goal is 2027 – see the current approval status.

      Policy makers, insurers, partners?
      Let's talk.

We are happy to show how patient navigation works with SuPDrive – and why it beats one more mandatory appointment.
